INVISALIGN TOP QUESTIONS
Am I too Old for Invisalign?
You wouldn’t believe how “mature” some of our Invisalign and orthodontic patients have been. In short — no — very few people are too old to get Invisalign. Feel free to ask us about some of the cases that we’ve completed for other seniors.
Can You See Invisalign On Your Teeth?
The translucent materials used to make Invisalign are challenging to see on someone’s teeth during a casual conversation. If you look very closely (as in, a matter of inches,) you can see that there is something clear over the teeth.
How Often do I Need to be Seen for a Check-up?
We’ll want to see you about every six to eight weeks to make sure your teeth are progressing as they should. At these check-in visits, we will give you a few set of aligners to take home until your next appointment.
How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
Invisalign costs will depend on the length of your treatment. In many cases, it does not cost much more than getting comprehensive traditional braces.
How Should I Clean My Invisalign Aligners?
Remove your aligners at least twice a day to clean them with lukewarm tap water and a soft toothbrush. Do not use hot water, as this can warp the plastic.
Is My Child Old Enough for Invisalign?
Invisalign Teen is a unique line that’s designed just for your high schooler. Because of the strict compliance that Invisalign requires ensuring successful treatment, it is only recommended for responsible teenagers who are committed to seeing their treatment through.
How Long do I Need to Wear My Aligners?
Wear your Invisalign braces for a minimum of 20 hours per day. You should only be taking them out to eat, brush, and floss.
Am I a Candidate for Invisalign?
Our orthodontist will need to evaluate your bite and oral health to determine if Invisalign is the best option for your teeth. In most cases, these clear braces can be used on anyone from mild to more severe bite concerns.
Does My Dental Insurance Cover Invisalign?
We are happy to contact your insurance carrier to determine if your plan includes any orthodontic procedures. This coverage will be worked into your treatment plan estimate.
What Will My Length of Treatment Be?
Because Invisalign is a technology-driven procedure, we can usually see how long it will take to complete your treatment before your treatment even starts. We can give you an estimated timeframe at the time of your consultation.
